I'm not sure if it was that this past year was tough for me, or if we just saw an incredible influx of men that I found myself falling in love with. There are still some OGs from the first Top Ten I did two years ago, but there were a lot of new guys this year as well. And they weren't just guys I wanted on my top ten twelve, they were guys that will be the last to leave this group of husbandos that I keep close to my heart. I didn't do a mid-year list like last year, and I think I'm most comfortable just doing one a year, otherwise I'm entirely too flippant about it. Our new faces are Vlad, Clavis, Akaza, and Ichiya. Welcome, boys, you'll be here for a good long while. ♥

Year-End 2021

My oh my, has it already been a year? Ehhhh, close enough. I'm technically a month early for hitting that one year mark from my first Bestest Best Boys post. To be honest, I can't even call it a Top Ten, because my friends and I did 12 so we could include one for each month, and I really like that because then there are less guys I have to cut out of my line-up of lovers. To be honest, this was still hard. You'd think that after doing it twice before and getting two extra spots that it would be easier each time, but that wasn't the case. I was surprised there were so many mobage LIs in this group, but they just really stole the show at the second half of this year. Cutting Dante from Piofiore was so haaaard. Sorry, Dante, Levi, and Scorpio, you're out. This time we have Sasuke, Shakespeare, Eltcreed, Yukimura, and Mitsuhide making it onto the list. Oh boy! Where will we be in another 6 months? I can't wait to find out!

Top Ten Love Interests

Mid-2021

I was going to wait a whole year before I did another one of these, but a friend wanted to do a mid-year one, so here we are. It was easier this time around since I only added a couple dozen more husbandos to my list. As you can see, I only swapped out two characters: Watson and Orlok. Yes, yes, those soft bois deserve some love, but I have a type to stick to. Welcome, Levi and Fin, to the top tier husbando territory.

Convenient that I started playing otoge a year ago today (January 14, 2021). As a fun little experiment, I decided to compile a list of my favorite husbandos. I am a collector of husbandos, after all, so it was difficult starting out. Of the two-dozen otome I've played, I came up with an initial list of 60 men I thought could be the bestest of the best boys. I thought that was not a bad number! That's only half of all the husbando-material I've come across. It took a while, but eventually I got it down to ten. I couldn't order them in any fashion after that; it was already hard enough to cut 50 good boys out, and I had to leave behind some really bad good choices. It'll be neat to see where I am in another year.
